What are these options?

Hobby Box

The full-size box sold through card shops rather than big-box stores. It has the most packs and the best odds, and most modern hobby boxes guarantee at least one autograph or memorabilia card. Pack and card counts vary by product line. Older listings sometimes call this a wax box.

Mega Box

A mid-size retail box, bigger than a blaster and smaller than a hobby box. Mega-exclusive parallels are the main draw, and some megas guarantee a hit.

Blaster Box

The small retail box sold at stores like Walmart and Target, usually the cheapest full box on the shelf. Autographs are not guaranteed, but many blasters carry exclusive parallels you cannot pull from a hobby box.

asia

A box distributed for the Asia-Pacific market, adding region-exclusive parallels on top of the standard checklist. Collectors chase them because those parallels exist nowhere else. The exclusive cards usually carry Asia in their names, so the card itself tells you it came from a regional box.

choice

Panini sells Choice as its own box tier, built around a single pack holding base cards, parallels and a guaranteed hit. The Choice-only parallels are the draw, and they carry the word in their names. Look for Choice Red, Blue, Black Gold and the one of one Choice Nebula, so the card itself tells you which box it came from. Autograph counts vary by product line. On this productChoice is the only place to find its super short printed Prizm parallels: Choice Red (/88), Black Gold (/8), Dragon (unnumbered) and Nebula.

fast break

A Panini configuration with a look of its own, known for Disco-pattern parallels and rookie variations found only in Fast Break. Usually one guaranteed autograph. On this productFast Break boxes carry their own exclusive parallels: Holo, Purple (/95), Red (/85), Blue (/50), Pink (/20), Gold (/10) and Black (1/1), plus 1 autograph per box.

FOTL (First Off The Line)

Panini's early-release program, First Off The Line. A limited run goes straight to collectors before the product reaches shops, and each box adds exclusive parallels or extra hits over the standard hobby box. The program started with 2016-17 Immaculate Basketball. Since 2020 many FOTL drops have been priced by Dutch auction, where the asking price opens high and steps down until the boxes sell out.

tmall

Panini's edition for the Chinese market, sold through the Tmall platform. It carries Asia-exclusive parallels you cannot pull from North American boxes. On this productTmall Edition boxes have 20 packs of 4 cards and average 20 inserts or parallels per box, with exclusive Red Wave and Gold Wave parallels to chase.

Cases

The factory-sealed carton a product ships in, holding a set number of boxes. A full case is the whole carton; an inner case is a smaller sealed block from inside it. Case buyers get untouched pack sequencing and a lower price per box. Some rare cards are seeded about once per case, which is what collectors mean by a case hit.
