2016-17 Panini Contenders Draft Picks Basketball Hobby Box
What are these options?
- Hobby Box
- The full-size box sold through card shops rather than big-box stores. It has the most packs and the best odds, and most modern hobby boxes guarantee at least one autograph or memorabilia card. Pack and card counts vary by product line. Older listings sometimes call this a wax box.
- Cases
- The factory-sealed carton a product ships in, holding a set number of boxes. A full case is the whole carton; an inner case is a smaller sealed block from inside it. Case buyers get untouched pack sequencing and a lower price per box. Some rare cards are seeded about once per case, which is what collectors mean by a case hit.

Frequently asked
What makes this product different from regular NBA cards?
Contenders Draft Picks focuses on players in their college uniforms before they entered the NBA. You're getting the 2016 draft class and established stars in their NCAA gear, which appeals to both college and pro collectors.
How many autographs come in a hobby box?
Five autographs per box, which is a solid hit rate for a mid-range product. You'll pull signed cards from rookies, veterans, and international players.
What are College Tickets and why do collectors hunt them?
College Tickets are an 87-card subset featuring the top 2016 draft picks. They come with multiple parallels including Draft Ticket, Playoff Ticket (/15), Championship (1/1), and Cracked Ice (/23), making them the main chase for serious collectors.
Are there any one-of-one cards in this product?
Yes. College Ticket Championship parallels are one-of-one, and there are also four-version printing plates for both College and International Tickets.
What inserts come in every pack?
Every pack includes one card from each of these five insert sets: Class Reunion, College Connections, Game Day Tickets, School Colors, and Old School Colors. That means more inserts than base cards per pack.

Yes. International Tickets focus on the newest NBA imports and also come with parallels numbered to 99 or less, plus Cracked Ice editions and printing plates.
What's the base set size?
