Frequently asked
What makes 2023 Topps Motif Football different from other Topps football products?
Motif is a brand-new super-premium line built around an art-inspired design theme. Every box guarantees 6 on-card autographs, making it one of the highest auto-hit rates in football cards. The product is unlicensed (no NFL logos), so it sits outside the typical Topps football lineup.
Which rookie quarterbacks are in this product?
The key 2023 rookie QBs featured are Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Will Levis. All four have autograph cards in multiple insert sets, making them the primary chase for collectors hunting modern rookies.
What's the base set like?
The 100-card base set is mostly retired stars and legends, with only one standard base card per box. Base parallels include Ultramarine Blue (/20), Cadmium Orange (/10), Winsor Green (/8), Pyrrol Scarlet (/5), Quin Gold (1/1), and Printing Plates (1/1 each color).
How many autograph insert sets are there?
There are eight main autograph insert sets: Acrylic Drip, Aquarelle Autographs, Canvas Champions, Gallery, Gridiron Legends, Headline Signatures, Motif Endorsements, and Virtuoso Marks. Each has its own art theme and parallel structure.
What are the Motif Rookie Relic Autographs?
These are autographed memorabilia cards exclusive to top rookie QBs. They come in single, dual, triple, and quad-patch versions with different swatch types (Jersey, Helmet, Football, Cleat, Glove, Team Logo, Laundry Tags, Shield), each with its own print run from /99 down to 1/1.
Are there any legends besides Tom Brady and Joe Montana?
Yes, the product features a deep roster of Hall of Famers and all-time greats including Jerry Rice, Barry Sanders, John Elway, Dan Marino, Steve Young, Lawrence Taylor, and many more. Legends actually dominate the checklist by quantity.
What's the case structure?
Each hobby case contains 3 boxes. Since each box has 6 guaranteed autographs, a case yields 18 autographs total.
When did 2023 Topps Motif come out?
It dropped September 13, 2024.
What's in a 2023 Topps Motif hobby box?
1 pack per box, 8 cards per pack (1 base card, 1 base parallel, 6 autographs)
