Frequently asked

What are the key rookie cards in 2018 Topps Heritage High Number?

Shohei Ohtani #600 is the marquee rookie and most valuable card from the set. Ronald Acuña Jr. #580, Juan Soto #502, and Gleyber Torres #603 are also major rookie pulls. The set also features numerous other 2018 call-ups like Braxton Lee, Tyler Beede, and Austin Meadows.

What makes this set different from regular 2018 Topps Heritage?

High Number is a traded/late-season set that picks up where the first Heritage release ended, numbered 501-725. It focuses on rookie debuts and players who changed teams in 2018, like Andrew McCutchen with the Giants, Eric Hosmer with the Padres, and Yu Darvish with the Cubs.

How do the parallels work in this product?

Base cards come in several tough parallels: Black Border (50 copies, hobby-only), 100th Anniversary Back (25 copies), Magenta Backs (10 copies), and Flip Stock (5 copies, hobby-only). Chrome parallels include Refractors (/569), Black Border (/69), Gold Border (/5), and Superfractors (1/1). Purple Hot Box Refractors appear randomly in hobby and retail boxes.

What's guaranteed in a hobby box?

Every hobby box contains either one autograph or one relic card. Real One Autographs feature on-card signatures, while Clubhouse Collection Relics include uniform and bat swatches. Dual, triple, and quad relic versions pair 1969 players with modern stars from the same franchise.

Are there any special insert sets to chase?

Yes. Amazin' Mets Autographs celebrate the 1969 World Series champs, Reggie Jackson Highlights honor the Hall of Famer (hobby-exclusive), and Miracle of '69 recaps the Mets' postseason run. Other inserts include Rookie Performers, Now and Then, Award Winners, and 1969 Deckle Edge reproductions.

What are the short prints and how rare are they?

Cards #701-725 are short-printed and fall 1:3 packs, making them noticeably tougher than regular base cards. These include some notable rookies and veterans, so pulling a short print adds value to a box.

Does this set have any buyback or retro elements?

Yes. Every hobby box includes a bonus topper card. These are either 1969 Topps Originals (stamped buybacks from the original set) or 1969 Bazooka Ad Panels (new cards using the classic Bazooka design).

When did 2018 Topps Heritage High Number come out?

It dropped September 14, 2018.
