2019 Topps Holiday Baseball Hobby Box
What are these options?
- Hobby Box
- The full-size box sold through card shops rather than big-box stores. It has the most packs and the best odds, and most modern hobby boxes guarantee at least one autograph or memorabilia card. Pack and card counts vary by product line. Older listings sometimes call this a wax box.
- Mega Box
- A mid-size retail box, bigger than a blaster and smaller than a hobby box. Mega-exclusive parallels are the main draw, and some megas guarantee a hit.
- Cases
- The factory-sealed carton a product ships in, holding a set number of boxes. A full case is the whole carton; an inner case is a smaller sealed block from inside it. Case buyers get untouched pack sequencing and a lower price per box. Some rare cards are seeded about once per case, which is what collectors mean by a case hit.

Frequently asked
Who's 2019 Topps Holiday for?
A solid first box. Cheap to crack, fun to rip, and you'll still land the year's rookies without dropping serious cash.
What are the key rookie cards in 2019 Topps Holiday?
The big rookies are Pete Alonso, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Fernando Tatis Jr., and Keston Hiura. You'll also find Austin Riley, Eloy Jimenez, and a bunch of other 2019 call-ups. These are reprints of their base Topps designs with festive accents.
Is there an autograph in every box?
Yes. Every Mega Box has one autograph or memorabilia card guaranteed. You might pull a regular autograph, a Holiday Relic with an auto, or a traditional Relic card.
What makes the variation short prints so hard to pull?
There are three tiers. Common variations hit 1:7 packs, rare ones 1:20 packs, and super rare versions 1:161 packs. Many of the same players have multiple variation tiers, so chasing the super rare versions of guys like Mike Trout or Ronald Acuña Jr. is a real grind.
What are the Faux Holiday Relics?
They're a fun new addition for 2019. Instead of actual player memorabilia, these cards imagine what Christmas characters would look like on baseball cards, with embedded items. It's a quirky, collectible subset.
How do the Metallic parallels work?
Metallic parallels pull at 1:2 packs, so you'll see them fairly often. There's also a rare Metallic Gold 1/1 version at 1:7,045 packs if you're feeling lucky.
Is this set exclusive to Walmart?
Yes, 2019 Topps Holiday Mega Boxes are Walmart-exclusive. You can order them online from Walmart or find them in stores, but they don't show up in other retail channels.
What late-season trades are reflected on these cards?
Zack Greinke appears on the Astros and Trevor Bauer on the Reds, trades that happened late in 2019 and didn't make it into 2019 Update Series. That's a nice detail for collectors tracking roster moves.
What are the best inserts in 2019 Topps Holiday?
Worth keeping an eye out for: Variation Short Prints (1:7 packs (common), 1:20 packs (rare), 1:161 packs (super rare)), Holiday Relics, Faux Holiday Relics, Metallic Parallels (1:2 packs).
When did 2019 Topps Holiday come out?
It dropped October 30, 2019.
What's in a 2019 Topps Holiday hobby box?
10 packs per box, 10 cards per pack
What's the cheapest 2019 Topps Holiday hobby box right now?
