Frequently asked
What makes 2017 Topps Holiday worth opening?
Every box is guaranteed to hit a relic, autograph, or autographed relic card, which is a solid value proposition for a Walmart blaster. The rookie class is strong, with Aaron Judge, Cody Bellinger, Alex Bregman, and Tyler Glasnow all featured.
What are the key rookies in this set?
Aaron Judge, Cody Bellinger, Tyler Glasnow, Alex Bregman, and Trey Mancini are the marquee rookies. Judge in particular has become one of the most sought cards from the product.
How do the Metallic Snowflake parallels work?
Metallic Snowflake parallels hit at 1:2 packs in the base set, so you'll pull roughly 5 per box. They also exist on autographs, relics, and autographed relics at much lower rates.
Is there a Cole Hamels short print?
Yes. Card HMW107 (Cole Hamels) is a confirmed short print due to a production error, making it tougher to find than other base cards.
What's the difference between the autograph and autographed relic cards?
Autographs are signature-only cards (1:272 packs), while Autographed Relics combine a signature with a game-worn swatch (1:6,026 packs). The autographed relics are significantly rarer and more valuable.
Are there any printing errors besides Cole Hamels?
Yes. Kyle Freeland, Jorge Bonifacio, and Jesse Winker are missing snowflakes in the top corners of their base cards, but this isn't considered a short print like Hamels.
How many cards are in the base set?
The base set has 200 cards total, featuring a mix of stars, veterans, and rookies with a design nearly identical to 2017 Topps Series 1 but with added snowflake elements.
What are the best inserts in 2017 Topps Holiday?
Worth keeping an eye out for: Metallic Snowflake Parallels (1:2 packs), Autographs (1:272 packs), Autographed Relics (1:6,026 packs), Relics (1:11 packs).
