2018-19 Panini Court Kings Basketball Hobby Box
What are these options?
- Blaster Box
- The small retail box sold at stores like Walmart and Target, usually the cheapest full box on the shelf. Autographs are not guaranteed, but many blasters carry exclusive parallels you cannot pull from a hobby box.
- Cases
- The factory-sealed carton a product ships in, holding a set number of boxes. A full case is the whole carton; an inner case is a smaller sealed block from inside it. Case buyers get untouched pack sequencing and a lower price per box. Some rare cards are seeded about once per case, which is what collectors mean by a case hit.

Frequently asked
What are the key rookie cards in this set?
Luka Doncic and Trae Young are the marquee rookies. Both appear across four different Rookie tiers (I through IV), with Rookie IV being the rarest and most sought-after. Other notable 2018 class rookies include Deandre Ayton, Collin Sexton, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
How do the Rookie tiers work?
Rookies I are the most common base version. As you move to Rookies II, III, and IV, the cards become progressively harder to pull. Rookie IV is extremely tough and commands premium prices. Each tier has a different design and rarity level.
What autographs should I expect?
You're guaranteed 2 autographs per box. Fresh Paint and Heir Apparent focus on first-year players, while Legacies Signatures feature Hall of Famers like Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, and Charles Barkley. All base autographs are numbered to 199 or less.
What are the parallel versions?
Base cards come in International, Jade, Ruby (/99), Sapphire (/25), and Masterpiece (1/1) parallels. Autographs also have parallel versions with lower print runs. The Sapphire and Masterpiece versions are the most collectible.
Which inserts are the hardest to pull?
Aurora, Gallery of Stars, and La Cinque Piu Belle are the short-print art inserts. They're so rare that a full case of 16 boxes might not even contain one of each. You're guaranteed 2 inserts per box, but they're usually the more common art sets.
What's the design like?
Court Kings has an artistic flair throughout, drawing inspiration from the classic Diamond Kings baseball line. The cards feature multiple art styles and interpretations, making the set visually distinct from typical basketball releases.
Is this a good value at current prices?
Hobby boxes have climbed significantly since release due to the Luka and Trae rookie demand. At $600+, you're paying for the guaranteed autos and the chance at key rookie tiers. If you're chasing specific rookies or autographs, the cost per hit can be steep compared to other 2018-19 releases.
