Frequently asked
What makes Sapphire different from regular 2025 Topps Chrome Football?
Sapphire is an exclusive variant with a gem-like chromium finish and blue accents on every card. All 400 cards from the flagship Chrome set get the Sapphire treatment, plus eight autograph concepts and two 25-card inserts (Sapphire Selections and Infinite Sapphire) that are only in this product.
What are the key rookie cards to chase?
The biggest rookie chase is Rookie PREM1ERE Patch Autographs, which are 1-of-1 cards featuring patches worn by players during their first NFL game. You'll also find Rookie Autographs on the base design and Rookie Patch Autographs with game-worn material.
How do the Sapphire parallels work?
Base cards and image variations come in five parallel tiers: Gold Sapphire /50, Orange Sapphire /25, Black Sapphire /10, Red Sapphire /5, and the ultra-rare Padparadscha Sapphire /1. Each tier has its own pull rate, with the Padparadscha being the rarest at 1:270 packs.
What autograph concepts are in this product?
There are eight autograph concepts: Rookie Autographs, Legends Autographs, 1990 Topps Football Autographs, Chromographs, Dual Autographs, Future Stars Autographs, Hall of Chrome Autographs, and Sapphire Selections Autographs. This is a big jump from the previous year's Sapphire, which only had base-design autos.
What are Sapphire Selections and Infinite Sapphire?
These are the two 25-card traditional inserts exclusive to Sapphire. Sapphire Selections pulls at 1:74 packs, while Infinite Sapphire (horizontal design) is slightly tougher at 1:81 packs. Both feature the chromium finish that defines the product.
How many cards are in the base set?
The base set has 400 cards total. The first 300 are veterans, and the final 100 are rookies. There are also 50 image variations that carry the same parallels as regular base cards.
Is this the first time Sapphire has been on an official NFL product?
Yes. Collectors got an unlicensed Sapphire version a year ago, but 2025 Topps Chrome Sapphire Football is the first time the gem-like chromium finish appears on a licensed NFL product, bringing all the Chrome autograph concepts and inserts to the Sapphire treatment.
What are the best inserts in 2025 Topps Chrome Sapphire?
Worth keeping an eye out for: Sapphire Selections (1:74 packs), Infinite Sapphire (1:81 packs), Rookie PREM1ERE Patch Autographs, Chromographs, Hall of Chrome Autographs, 1990 Topps Football Autographs.
