The full-size box sold through card shops rather than big-box stores. It has the most packs and the best odds, and most modern hobby boxes guarantee at least one autograph or memorabilia card. Pack and card counts vary by product line. Older listings sometimes call this a wax box.
Cases
The factory-sealed carton a product ships in, holding a set number of boxes. A full case is the whole carton; an inner case is a smaller sealed block from inside it. Case buyers get untouched pack sequencing and a lower price per box. Some rare cards are seeded about once per case, which is what collectors mean by a case hit.
These are the best prices we could find for this product across the 20 retailers we follow for

For collectors who want hits without Cup money. Figure on an auto or relic every box or two, with rookies you'll actually recognize.
Q2What makes the base set so hard to complete?
Veterans and legends are numbered to just 12 copies each, and rookies to 22. Standard base cards aren't in every pack, making it one of the toughest sets to finish in 2021-22.
Q3How does the Red Bounty program work?
About half of the Red parallel cards include a scratch-off code on the back. Collectors who complete all 125 Red parallels and enter their codes can earn exclusive Cast for Greatness Cole Caufield cards and other rewards.
Q4Are autographs guaranteed in this product?
No. Autographs are rare bonuses in Synergy, not a standard box hit. They appear in various insert sets like Synergy FX, Exceptional, and StarQuest, but odds aren't published.
Q5What's the difference between Synergy FX and Exceptional?
Synergy FX uses Light FX technology and comes 3 per box with Orange, Purple, Green, and Gold parallels. Exceptional is acetate stock, comes 4 per box, and features three sub-themes (Stars, Phenoms, Rookies) with seven parallel tiers.
Q6Which rookies are in this set?
The set includes 60 rookies numbered 76-135, featuring prospects like Cole Caufield, Trevor Zegras, Moritz Seider, Lucas Raymond, and many others from the 2021 draft class.
Q7What are the key veterans and legends?
The 60 veteran cards include Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews, Sidney Crosby, and Alex Ovechkin. Legends (numbered 61-75) feature Wayne Gretzky, Jaromir Jagr, Steve Yzerman, and other Hall of Famers.
Q8How many parallels are there?
Base cards have Red and Purple parallels. Red comes at different odds depending on the tier (1:2 for most veterans, 1:7.5 for legends, 1:4.5 for top rookies). Purple is serial-numbered to 65 or less for vets/legends and 99 for rookies, with some featuring autographs.
Q9What are the best inserts in 2021-22 Upper Deck Synergy?
Worth keeping an eye out for: Exceptional (4 per box), Synergy FX (3 per box), Cast for Greatness (1:60 packs), Rookie Journey, Synergistic Duos, StarQuest (1:64 packs).
